Looking Back to Young Achiever of the Year, 2021

“It was a great recognition to be chosen by such experienced and significant members of the wind industry”

Young Achiever of the Year in GWO’s Safety & Training Awards 2021, Karolina Jastrzębska of Windhunter Academy reflects on what the award meant to her.

“It was an honour to receive this award that recognises not only my work as a managing director of Windhunter Academy but also represents a personal achievement for me as a Polish woman working in the global wind industry.

Being recognised by my industry and winning Young Achiever of the Year made me feel proud that my experience, story, and work were singled out not only by my local environment but also by a worldwide committee of judges.

Working in the wind safety training industry has been a great adventure. I have had the chance to develop many skills in these few years such as safety requirements, soft skills, training coordination, sales through to the meaning of the quality and professionalism."

Safety and safety training is naturally important in any industry. However, the impact of the GWO and its safety training standards have made the wind industry one of the safest in the world. In my view entering the Safety & Training Awards is a great opportunity to tell the world how young people are making a difference in the wind industry.
