“We are extremely pleased to have been shortlisted as a finalist for such a prestigious award which recognises the outstanding contribution made by the whole Trauma Resus team to the renewable wind industry during one of the most challenging periods in history. We are incredibly proud to work within an industry that so clearly prioritises the safety and well-being of their teams and values the contributions of external experts” Dr Peter Barrett, Consultant in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care, Medical Director.

Trauma Resus was founded in 2005 by a group of Healthcare professionals who recognised the vital role that first responders have in providing care in the immediate minutes following injury or acute illness. Our goal is to use our expertise and experience to empower first responders to improve patient care, and as a result, improve patient outcomes, and ultimately save lives.

The Trauma Resus advanced first aid course “EURIECA”, established in 2016, was developed specifically for the renewable energy sector and has been rapidly adopted by windfarms across the UK. The Trauma Resus team applauded the introduction of the GWO Enhanced First Aid standard at the end of 2018 and were proud to be one of the first providers of GWO EFA courses in the UK.

In addition to delivering training, Trauma Resus also supports organisations to implement the GWO enhanced first aid standard with their clinical governance programme, consultancy support, telemedicine and provision of medical equipment.

The Trauma Resus EURIECA GWO EFA course is now available in the UK, Europe and USA with training commencing in Asia early 2022.
