Training team of the year - Northern Europe

Charlie Guthrie, Head of Renewables at AIS Survivex, said: “What fantastic news! We are thrilled to reach the finals of the GWO Awards once again. Winning last year was really humbling and gave a huge boost to our hard-working team, who put everything into delivering an exceptional training experience for learners, so it’s great to be in the running for this year’s competition.”

AIS Survivex, part of 3t Energy Group, has been delivering world-class GWO training since 2015 and has dedicated Renewable Energy Training Centres in Newcastle and Aberdeen.

It is the UK’s largest provider of wind training - offering the full suite of GWO courses and training more than 1,500 wind delegates annually.

AIS Survivex's ‘POP’ experience - which maps the delegate journey Pre-course, On-course, Post-course- ensures a high quality training experience. This approach has seen AIS Survivex invest heavily in facilities that mimic ‘real work’ settings, as well as technology including apps and online portals to streamline the training management process.

It also centres itself at the forefront of transitioning skills and work with organisations such as British Forces Resettlement Service, ELCAS, Skills Development Scotland and department for Education to unlock millions of pounds of funding to transition personnel from all backgrounds to the renewables sector. This includes it's pioneering, industry-first ‘Military to Wind’ ELCAS-approved programmes to help armed forces personnel enter the sector.
